Three stories by W. Somerset Maugham make up an engaging dramatic suite, beginning with "The Ant and the Grasshopper," which features Nigel Patrick and Roland Culver as two brothers struggling with each other's opposite personalities. "Winter Cruise" is a tongue-in-cheek tale of shipboard romance, with Kay Walsh playing an overly talkative spinster. "Gigolo and the Gigolette" relates the trials of a husband-and-wife vaudeville act in Monte Carlo.
