When he heads home to Hawaii to attend his grandfather's nuptials, 17-year-old snowboarding champ Johnny Kapahala (Brandon Baker) has his hands full with his soon-to-be uncle: embittered 12-year-old Chris (Jake T. Austin). It seems the youngster has taken up with a group of bad-boy dirt boarders, and his increasingly errant behavior may ruin not only the wedding but the family business.
