A cheeky sequel to the 1948 mermaid tale Miranda, this romantic fantasy relates the further land adventures of the lovely and man-crazy mermaid from the first movie, again played by British film veteran Glynis Johns. When Miranda's look-alike human friend Caroline goes on holiday, Miranda decides to move into Caroline's home and live her life. The lark goes swimmingly until Miranda breaks off Caroline's engagement and falls for another man.
