This crime drama follows Larry Shaw (Ron Foster), an amoral hood who claws his way up the ladder of a bootlegging outfit in Prohibition-era New York. Larry's innocent wife, Margaret (Luana Patten), grows steadily more horrified by her husband's criminal actions. His egomania and increasing violence alarm even his fellow mobsters, and as authorities battle to bring Larry to justice, Margaret fears for the future of their unborn child.
